HAND SIGNAL
HAND SIGNAL is a tiny arcade game you play with your bare hand. No controller, no keyboard - just a webcam.
Fly a little ship through 20 pipes and see what is waiting at the end.
HOW TO START
- Allow camera access when your browser asks.
- Raise your hand to the camera. The ship on the title screen follows it.
- Show a peace sign (V) and hold it for a moment.
- Open your palm to take off.
CONTROLS
| OPEN PALM | Rise, for as long as you hold it |
| LOOSE FIST | Do nothing, the ship falls |
| TIGHT FIST | Dash forward (2 second cooldown) |
| HAND OUT OF VIEW | Pause |
TIPS
- The loose fist is the trick. Relax your hand into a soft, half-closed fist and the game sees neither an open palm nor a fist, so the ship just falls. Use it to come down without dashing by accident.
- To dash again, relax your hand first, then squeeze a tight fist.
- Keep your whole hand in frame, wrist included, about an arm's length from the camera. Good lighting helps a lot.
- If the ship stops responding, check the top-left corner of the title screen. It shows what the camera is doing.
NO WEBCAM?
Press Esc, then T to switch to keyboard, then G to go back.
D = start, S = rise, A = dash. Keep the mouse pointer inside the game.
NOTES
Works best in Chrome on a desktop or laptop.
Your camera video is processed in your browser and never leaves it.
