Yours to take
Yours to Take
Take what you want. Or don't.
A short 2D pixel-art platformer. Guide a small knight through three levels: jump across platforms, dodge slimes, and bounce off mushrooms to reach higher ground. There are plenty of coins along the way.
Whether you pick them up is up to you.
What's Inside
- Three levels, played in order, about 30–60 seconds each
- One hit and you're out: touching a slime or falling restarts the current level and resets that level's coins. Levels you've already cleared keep their results.
- Results screen: shows how many coins you collected in each level, out of the total
- Three endings: you'll see one of them after the results screen
- A full run takes about 3–5 minutes
Controls
| Action | Keys |
|---|---|
| Move | ← → or A D |
| Jump | Space or ↑ |
| Pause | Esc |
※ Keyboard only.
About This Project
I made this while learning Godot. The basics (movement, coins, enemies, death) come from Brackeys' platformer tutorial. Everything after that I added myself: the main menu, linking the three levels, the results screen, the endings, the pause menu, volume settings, and the shader effects.
- Engine: Godot 4.7 (GDScript)

⚠️ Spoilers: How the Endings Work
If you haven't played yet, you may want to play first.
Your ending depends on what share of all the coins in the three levels you collected:
| Coins collected | Ending |
|---|---|
| None at all | TRUE ENDING |
| Some, but no more than half | A GOOD TRIP |
| More than half | THE LONG WAY |
- Exactly half counts as A GOOD TRIP
- Dying resets that level's coins, so only the run where you clear the level counts
- No ending is better than another. Each one reflects a different way to play.
